Most of providers require 2 references but how do I know I am using fake reference? Is there any process to prove references? If so, how do I do it?

References should  be reputable providers that you have seen in the past.
If you do not have references you will need to find a provider who is newbie friendly and will screen you other ways. However,be prepared to provide the necessary info the provider requests if you have no references.Look at a providers ads and/or website to see who is newbie friendly not all providers are.
Once you have seen a few providers you can ask if they are reference friendly and be willing to provide a reference for you in the future.
Speaking for myself I will not accept just any provider as a reference.
Take a look at the self-help guide here on the newbie board for much more info regarding references.

if you try using fake references! Why would you even consider that? Do you use fake references on job applications and things like that?

If you don't have references, look for newbie friendly providers as jaydalee said. Thiki about joining P411 or one of the other verification agencies. And do a search on this board for "references," "screening," "verification," "p411" and things like that. The topic of newbie references and screening comes up all the time. Probalby the most asked question on the board. (Although I don't recall anyone talking about using fake references!). Change the search date range from 30 to 300 or something like that, and you will get a lot more returns. Also read the self help manual as jayda said. You can find it at the top of the page by the life preserver.

Your TER handle alone won't verify anything.  Providers and bookers do talk to one another to verify references.  Your TER handle should match an email or phone number you previously used to book past appointments.

So using someones TER reviews wouldn't really work.  Though I'm sure it's been tried many time.

...somehow figure it out in communicating with you.

In order to prevent someone from being able to do that you could do this:

The provider could ask you to PM her here on TER. She could request that you tell her something only the two of you would know after going through the screening process. Only you would be able to PM with your TER handle.
Someone else might be able to give out your handle and say they are you but they shouldn't know your password and shouldn't be able to PM someone using your TER account. The provider would see your handle and reading your PM could verify that the PM is coming from the person she has been communicating with for an appointment ie. You.
