First, read all of the policies of TER especially with regard to posting. Most of these can be found at the link to the Newbie Manual at the top of the page.
Next, you want to either get a website of your own (highly recommended) or advertize on a site where you can post pictures of yourself, rates and contact information. It's very important that you have a TER logo on these sites. This way, you can post a link to your site whenever you post on TER.
You can adverise your availiablity on the local board where you live and work up to once per seven day period. In addition, you can participate on all of the TER boards and join in the discussions. Many quality clients learn a lot about providers this way and will want to meet them as a result.
Once you get a review, you will also have a profile on TER and this profile can also be linked to you whenever you post, thus affording the prospective client a chance to find out more about you.

create a profile here, and then advertise no more than once a week on your regional board, perhaps offering a special to TER members. Spend a bit of time in between on your local board interacting with others to develop interest as well.
