I apologize if I post many questions, I am new to the hobby and curious. I have seen maybe 2 ads for women saying they are Courtesans and they charge like 5 thousand dollars for a few hours date. They seem to have the same attractive looks as some other reasonably priced providers. Why would someone pay 5 thousand dollars for a Courtesan?

A 600SL Mercedes Benz is a fine automobile; but the intrinsic value of its parts are not worth $100K+. It is the age old game of marketing exclusivity, and selling that exclusivity’s value to those who value it.

This is one of those questions I hate. (no offense to you personally) Why would anyone buy a Lamborghini if they can get a Toyota for a lot less money?  Why would anyone purchase a Rolex if they can get a Timex at a much better deal– and water proof to boot!?  I could go on but you get the idea.

People pay what they want to pay for things.  Everyone doesn’t live on a budget.  Why they do it depends entirely on the proclivities of the person doing the purchasing.  You’d have to ask their customers.
