I finally saw my first provider earlier tonight.  I'm not sure if you remember me, but I am the guy who posted the "Preparing To Become A Hobbyist" checklist around Thanksgiving.

I got verified on Date-Check (which was ridiculously easy - makes me wonder if I am being watched/helped by Big Brother or something) and got a date with a very hot, young touring provider who was way better looking and friendlier than her pics would suggest.  Lucky me.

The bittersweet part of this was that my performance sucked (except for the explosive finish).  I wonder if it has to do with my archetypal worry-wort, paranoid, introspective, eccentric genius personality.   She was the hottest girl I've ever been with and I lost my erection a couple of times and had a difficult time cumming.  It had to be psychological (vs. a pure physical problem) because I am in good health and wake up a couple of times a week with almost debilitating hard-ons and, when I can find time, masturbate to (quality) porn and finish quickly if I want.  I think I just need to get comfortable being naked around strangers (even hot friendly ones).  Just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem.

If you read through the old posts, that's pretty common.  Sometimes when a girl is especially attractive, like it sounds was the case, it actually makes a person even more nervous.

Condoms can be an issue too.  I bring my own so I get the size & brand I prefer.  I prefer thin latex with enough room to move some inside but not so loose it slips off...  I find shaped is better for me.

It happened to me too.  While she was very young for a provider, she took it in stride, and brought me off orally and manually.  I have since revisited her with complete success.

Don't worry about it too much.  If you let it consume you, it may not go away.  Try to relax and let it happen.  

I would also suggest no jacking off for several days prior to your next date, and cut down on the alcoholic consumption as well, if you are a drinker.  Alcohol tends to inhibit erections as we get older, unlike when we were young, could drink a ton and fuck all night.  That just ain't gonna happen with us older guys.

a couple of other things to avoid are caffeine, and eating a big meal before your date, especially red meat. They, along with alcohol, have an adverse effect on sexual function.

Congratulations on getting number one out of the way.  You will relax more and have more fun as time goes by.  It's only natural to be a bit nervous at first.  

Just remember that the lady you are with is there to show you a good time. She isn't putting any expectations on you other than having the right amount of money, being clean, polite and respectful of her time.

Also, physical fitness sometimes plays a part in your ability to perform.  Do you do regular cardio exercise?  If not, you may want to begin.

Congratulations!  The information here on TER makes the hobby a lot easier, but you still have to go step by step and see things through.

It sounds like you had first time jitters.  I was really, really nervous the first time (two years ago).  

My first provider also floored me with her looks.  I went through most of what you did, but I resolved to calm down the next time, and I did.
