I've seen this a quite a few times for when ladies are describing their outcall policies. Wondering what is exactly expected from an "upscale" hotel and residence. I mean hotels are easy to understand. If its rated 4 or 5 stars thats your answer right there.
Its concerning residences that i have trouble in defining. Im not asking to see if i should consider my place upscale (its not, definitely a bachelor pad). Im just asking about residences in general. What do providers expect from an "upscale" residence? Are there different criteria for House vs Townhouse vs Apartment? Cleanliness and privacy are givens. I mean are there size, feature, location considerations? Could a one bedroom apartment be considered upscale but a four bedroom house wouldn't be?
"Do I feel safe in going there?" more than how great your housekeeping or interior decorating you have.
A one bedroom apartment in a nice part of town would most likely be perfectly acceptable, while a four bedroom house on any street in the country named "MLK Blvd" most likely would not be. If she is scared to park her car on the street or make the short walk from her car to your front door, she is unlikely to visit you at your home.
I agree with mrfisher and so do many others. So much so, that many Providers in NYC, local or touring, will specify that they will only outcall to "upscale hotel or doorman buliding." There is video of them entering the premises, looking good. In a doorman building, there is sometimes a record of which apartment is being visited (sign-in, doorman notation, or just a verbal to the doorman; NOT ALL doorman buildings have a sign-in). And there had better be a video record of her exiting the premises looking good, hopefully with a big smile on her face.

I'd define 'upscale apartment' as a place I feel safe visiting... and, touching things. In a word, (somewhat) tasteful and (generally) clean. I try to keep my expectations realistic, as some of my clients are single men who've never lived with a woman...
