Secondly, I have been posting on "craigslist" but know it seems like craigslist might not be to safe since they are asking for the phone verification thingy now. Does anyone have any insight on that?

IMHO, the best thing you can do for yourself is to get your own website which you control. Ads are fine, but they have a short shelf life. There are a few relatively easy-to-use, free, or cheap options. Just remember, if you want to post a link to you site on one of TER's boards, your site has to display a TER badge or banner on on of its first to pages.
As for other sites, CityVibe has a free, CL like, erotic services option. Backpage.com is isn't free, but it is cheap, we're talking single digits in most markets. These are advertising partners of TER, so you should be able to link your ads on these sites without question
Find a lady or two in your area (search reviews by AC) and ask her some of the does and don'ts for your particular area. Above all, screen, screen, screen. You need to avoid the wackos that are out there. Don't get me wrong, most of the guys here on TER are great gentlemen. It is the deadbeats you need to stay clear of.

To the left is "REGIONAL BOARDS", under that is a pulldown menu. Click on the arrow and choose the region "San Francisco". When the new forum comes up you can post an ad there. You can give all the information you want including availability, rates, or whatever including a pic or a link to your site. If you link to your site you will need a TER banner on one of the first two pages of your site.
