Okay so here goes ladies and gents! I have been pondering this question for awhile until it came up again tonight. I know that there are newbie providers wondering the same as myself. I was chatting with a hobbyist about TOFTT in his area. I suggested it should be okay just be very careful. I also corrected myself by mentioning other verification sites that she can have to make the hobbyist feel more comfortable. So I was told that I sound like a guy saying he is nice to avoid screening. So what I am saying is, I have no reviews. But I am verified on Date-Check and actively participate on the TER boards, without reviews. Here is the annoying part lol when I see ladies scaring away the new ladies prospective business because there is that line, "No she isn't reviewed!". It's like comparing apples and oranges because the two are not the same. So my question for everyone is do bad reviews get clearance? What I mean is I have read some God aweful reviews in my state about body odor, possible pimps and everything else under the sun lol. Guys continue to see/write bad reviews so why put yourself through the headache. All ladies that are new are not bad business. All ladies with hundreds of reviews are not all good business. Will this make other reviewed providers hesitate to provide a reference because I am new? What did you ladies do before you received your first review? Suggestions please
Bad form
Yes I did put the link on my post. Did I do something wrong? I think it is a great way to get my name out there![]()
This isn't a provider ad sweetheart. I have that on the Carolina Board![]()
Check out info for providers on this site. It says they can. There are some restrictions but it's basically OK. She has not posted an ad here. She has asked a question.
There are some times though when it's not allowed. Check the provider info in the Self-Help Center to be sure about when it's ok & when it isn't.
Yep I did long as its not a provider type ad on the general/newbie boards its okay. Thanks babe
Your damn right it's ok. Don't be intimidated girl. I sent you a PM. If you cannot receive email me.
No it is postively encouraged by TER to put your link in your posts except when you participate in a photo thread theme day.
You did nothing wrong.
Provider links are allowed on every post Accept Theme day posts.
she can have her link on all her post on any board but a theme day post.
thats not any way to correct someone or help someone on the NEWBIE board.
this board is forgiving of mistakes...
yours included but It doesnt appear yours was a mistake instead a deliberate attempt to berate someone else. Accept you look like the fool in the end...
Yes, its kind of a catch-22. But every lady goes through it. Patience is the key. There are TOFTT guys out there. I'm NOT one of them. lol. But they are out there. And they do both you and me a huge service. They "break the ice" so to speak, to let us know your menu options, if your pics match, if you arent LE, etc. All crucial things for hobbyists.
Dont worry about what other ladies are saying. Just keep doing what you are doing. Keep posting. Make sure you stay OUT of any drama on the boards. Thats is a business killer for a newb.
Guys see poorly reviewed women for lots of reasons. Cost is a big factor. Super wide menu options may be another. A certain look, pic or openess about activities by email may do it. Who knows?
Once you get a few reviews, and they are good, you will be swamped with contacts for everyone wants to be with the new reviewed girl that the guys are raving about. Just remember every women goes thru this. Best of luck.
Thank you very much for the advice! I am being patient, but my point is that all the ladies were newbies at one point. And yes it is a catch 22 babe, but some new girls get automatically flamed which is quite understandable
. Oh and no drama with me. I've been on TER since 2010 and never had that problem
. I just ask a lot of questions for marketing purposes.
regional board so guys can get to know you; especially on theme days where you can post pics. Sooner rather than later guys will notice and a veteran or two or more will TOFTT.
Some hobbyists don't do a good job of researching who they are going to see. If they hear a lady has TER reviews they don't bother to read the juicy details and sometimes not even to read the profile. Dahhhh . . ., guys need to use the tools available to have memorable encounters.
Good luck to you.
Thank you babes and yes I am doing all of the above. The problem is the guys I do see never heard of TER, so they don't review. I had one that tried, but it kept getting denied maybe because he wasn't very active on TER I guess**shrugs shoulder**
Wow, I am going through the same thing. The guys that I have seen do not participate in review boards. However, I have been contacted from a few hobbyist here via my personal website. Once they find out that I am not reviewed, I'm told they won't be able to meet with me. I understand the risk. What's a girl to do? Lol
I totally understand Miss Kane and yes it sucks lol. I have gotten some inquiries like that too. We just have to be patient though
The reviewer is probably not following the guidelines. He should have been told what needed to be changed/corrected in order for it to be approved. Ask him to try again if he was serious. it's really not that hard.
As for the other stuff, you seem to have a good handle on things, and have been given some good advice here. Visibility is one of the keys, but you need to be careful that it is positive, fun visibility, not desperate visibility, if you know what I mean. Good luck! It will happen.
I've had several gents who are not participants on this board tell me their reviews did not get posted because of low board participation. Absolutely yes, they will deny for that reason.

And, at the time, I had not posted to any forums at all or participated in any way other than to join. As a matter of fact, I spent at least a few weeks lurking before participating on any boards, because I had just been introduced to this site by a provider I saw and wanted to get a feel first. I'm no expert, so I suppose it is possible, but I suspect gents that say that don't know what they are doing. There are many reasons that a submitted review may not be accepted listed in the Review FAQ. Many related to not being able to tie back to the provider due to bad info from the client? Surprise! You have to have an account, obviously (free), but participation is not listed as one of them, that I can see. Still, I accept that I may be wrong
Just trying to help!
is much longer than the written one.
Review acceptance/rejection has nothing to do with board posting presence.
It IS related to review history. Your first written review is more likely to be
held up or denied than subsequent ones; if the provider in question also has no reviews,
it is even more likely.
It's understandable to think they just didn't want to be bothered with writing reviews, but gents who don't know each other told me the same denial reasons they got from their account manager. "Lack of board participation makes the legitimacy of the review questionable." Kind of hard to believe they would come up with the same exact denial reasons if it weren't what they were reading in their account manager?
I've never heard of that reason.. but am sure it is possible. It is more likely that a gent with no reviews posted and a lady with no reviews, admin will put a hold on the review until the lady has more reviews submitted, or the gent reviews others. I think they do it as a safety precaution to ensure that the lady is actually receiving legitimate reviews from actual hobbyists & it's not just a friend(or themselves on another computer) trying to review themselves(yes, it's happened before). Once a lady starts getting reviews, it will be easier for new members to write reviews, as long as they are following the guidelines..leave the smallest detail out & it will get rejected. I've had gents who joined just to leave me a review & had 0 board or posting history.. but because I have a history of prior reviews, they were allowed.
To the OP, it is a catch 22 unfortunately, & YEARS ago, it was easier to get established as references & verifications weren't as well-known across the board, & gents would see un-reviewed ladies(which many still do) and ladies would see gents with no references. I think if you keep posting, and people get to know you better, you'll have a better change at getting reviews. Try to stay active on your local board (if they have one), and continue to ask those that you do see if they would be so kind as leave you a review... eventually one will be posted

Patience, it'll happen. I didn't have reviews on here forever. In fact, I never came here at all until a client said, "I saw your ad on Blah-dy-Blah and I checked out your TER review, so I know you're ok." I said, "Oh no, you couldn't have seen me on TER, I don't use TER." He answered, "Well, someone wrote you a review on there." I didn't know I HAD a review here, lol.
And to those berating Dixie for putting her website here-- uh, the option is right at the bottom of the page to do so. If you have a problem with it, you should contact the webmasters and have that option removed. Just a suggestion.
Thanks so much Miss Ivy the advice really helps

...if you have or can make any connections to other well-reviewed providers in the area, they might be willing to send a few guys your way. I'm surprised nobody mentioned it this time, but there's been similar posts from providers about doing that one here before.
Hi Dixie,
I'm sure things will open up soon. I was able to get a review early on fortunately. This has led to a lot of inquiries but things are still slow. I hope to get some more good reviews soon. I really like Julia's idea and I may consider something similar. Also, I've had lots of feedback about the importance of high quality pics and being that men are very visual, I can understand that. I'm sure it will get better. Besides.....I'm horny so I hope it will really soon!
Most guys won't mind, especially if they are already TER members. And if he is not a TER member, tell him about TER. You'll be doing him a favor. I never knew about TER until a gal told me about it.
Between that and getting to know people on your local board, you should do fine.
