Here's an interesting take on this question from the TER Atlanta Discussion Board

TER requires reviewers to submit "Juicy Details." Some providers are uncomfortable with this requirement. However, one could argue that TER reviews are more useful for this very reason. I've linked a post from the Atlanta board to this message that is interesting.

Does it sound any alarm bells for any regulars out there if a provider only has reviews (that I have been able to find) on bigdoggie.net?

No.  There are ladies who have tons of reviews on one site, but not the other.  I've wonder why for a few years, but the bottom line is if she is well reviewed on one place she will be legit.

may or may not have reviews on both because the hobbiest posting the review may also favor one more than the other .......

YMMV. alot of these reviews are way over embellished. I got that straight from a providers mouth. she told me "oh, I dont do that, but it makes me sound better in my reviews" needless to say, that session was a waste of time and $$$

I know there is a certain degree of shilling possible for various reasons.  I was just concerned if it was blatant on certain other review sites.

I'm relatively new to the hobby and am just beginning to post reviews. It is very clear that a subtle blackmail goes on--if a hobbyist posts a negative review (and I don't mean nasty or meanspirited, just honestly stating some negative aspects of a date) the provider in question (and her girlfriends) will not want to see him again, may say bad--even untrue, invented--things about him, etc.  A provider told me she knew a provider who "got even" with a hobbyist for putting in a review that she was over an hour late, even though that was true. On the other hand, a rave review may net more favors from the provider who has been given the great review (and maybe even from her girlfriends).  I try to be fair and honest but I probably would think twice about posting a really negative review.  So I take all reviews with a grain of salt--anything lower than highly recommend is dubious.  It's like grade inflation in our education system.
