The biggest suggestion, that I would have for a provider new to the business, would be to get involved with sites that are limited to Providers Only.

On these sites you can ask specific questions about how different sites operate, suggestions on tips for succeeding in the business and other information that can be helpful.

The best part about networking information from other providers on a private such site is that it is out of the prying eye of the general public, which can in fact act against your well being.

Many individuals who are predators and prey on providers, look for weakness and are mislead to believe that a woman new to the industry could be an easy target. By posting on a private site (*where only providers have access to*) your possible vulnerability isn’t exposed to the general public. I have been told in the past that LE might also use this logic.
