What is the typical result of an LE bust?

I was just wondering, if you do happen to get caught by LE, what are you looking at? A ticket / citation or do you go to jail?

I'm sure the penalties vary by state.
I think Arizona is pretty strict about it with mandatory behind bars time from a couple weeks, a couple months up to a couple years.

At the very end, it says "[t]he Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office modeled its program after one offered in San Francisco."

To getting your name and picture published in the paper. Different states, different cities, different jurisdictions = different rules

This is actually a few years old, so some things probably changed but here is some general info by state.
You can find a lot more info on this by google than by asking here. Also might want to check out the TER legal board.

I never got busted by LE, but my ex busted me twice, and let me tell you, the cost exceeded by several magnitudes what any fine could be.

On the other hand, I'm free as a bird now (If you don't count the alimony, that is.)

As other's have said, you have a few options.

- Slap on the wrist
- Fine
- Jail time
- Public humiliation (see the Maine Zumba stuff)
- Divorc
