...that probably doesn't apply to us... but hey still going to throw it out there regardless.

If you are staying in a hotel, be careful of the pictures you take! Sometimes if others look carefully, they can figure where you are staying!

Met a regular and he point something out to me on BP. The girl had pictures up where you could see she was staying there! Not only that, but she took a photo by her car (license plate and all). He and I could pin point the room she was staying at (oops).

Be careful people!!!

Discretion, so be very careful when taking pictures in or at hotels, and never use a pic of your personal vehicle showing the license plate!!!!!

At the very least, don't work in the same hotel you used to take photos in. I had a touring rule that I would never stay in the same hotel, in the same city more than once every 6 months....ever. Some are more worried about hotel points and saving a buck, than discretion and common sense. Also, if you hook up to the hotel internet, they can monitor every site you visit and that can lead the cops right to you when you respond to emails. Use a phone or wireless card.

I never even thought about about that! Be careful everyone!

Best,

The very mistakes I made, can save another woman from doing them. I never got into any trouble, but I was seriously lucky. You know there are even some providers who announce to the hotel staff they are working girls? Yep lol.

hot ladies to party with?" Bellman responds, "Call the blonde in room 222 to set a date."  DAH?

I agree that hotels could monitor every website and email that gets accessed through the hotel internet, but I would be a bit surprised if they do. Certainly, if their corporate clients suspected that they might do such a thing, they could lose a lot of business.

I suppose if there were complaints, they might try something like this. Or perhaps, they would just filter for specific web sites. However, it still seems a bit risky on their part.

Anyway, London, I curious if you know of situations where LE has caught people like this, or if you are just being careful.

I think the hotel was already suspicious, and by monitoring the sites she was using they were able to confirm their suspicions.

Like London, I use my own mobile broadband with me.  The expense is minor compared to the peace of mind it gives me.

was staying at a hotel, and i was using a anom browser so they could see where i went except, i could not get into my website..

so i logged in thinking they wont know once...

they did, and they kicked me out!

It is not something they do just every day. It is something they only do when 'tipped off' if you will. When I used to tour Nashville, this was common practice for the hotels to run women's email and phone number when checking in, because so many reports of providers working were being investigated. Yes, some providers are that stupid to give the hotel the very phone number or email they have listed on their ads lol. Leads right back to them, and connects to their real name.

It is just an added precaution not to hook up through their server, because yes the higher ups tend to monitor activity of both patrons and employees. For instance, if a child porn addict is accessing certain sites, it is not all that hard to find out which room he was in. There is a disclaimer when you hook up, saying that it is NOT a private network, so they tell you flat out your actions can be viewed by others.

have someone monitoring your net behavior or the behavior of women they deem suspicious i guess but i know almost 5 women who stayed at the Santa Clara hyatt... they get it thru priceline, and go to room, sign up for the net, go on the adult site and are then locked/kicked out of room and they lose the $$
