I've managed to find a local photog who does do boudoir shoots, and have a session next week! This gives me time to work on my poses and pick outfits.
Sounds good! I have ZERO experience at this, myself, but I've read comments from others.
I assume you are paying by the hour (hmmm, "time and companionship only. Anything picture taking activity that happens between a photographer and subject is strictly consensual.") You will get a certain number of "snaps", a certain number of outfit changes (takes time off the clock!), a certain number of make or hair changes (tick, tick, tick, tick ...). Consider bringing along a friend to help you with outfits, hair, makeup, stress, and, most importantly in MY opinion, to make sure that your panties are nice and smooth and not wrinkled and bunched up!
Will you have a signed contract? A typical shoot might be 50-60 snaps and you'll be allowed to keep 10 or so. How much extra for each additional keeper? Who owns the pics? What usage rights does the photog have (can he put them on his website as sample shots or sell them to Penthouse?)? Will the photog put HIS watermark on the pics? Will he do some photoshopping for you? Do you have tons of tattoos to P-shop out? That might cost extra. Etc., etc., etc. Ask for advice here!
I hope I'm not making it sound scary. It's not. Just trying to raise Qs that you can get answered ahead of time to all goes well and with no surprises.
Awe, that's actually a good practice with me. I tend to be more focused on the big picture and miss all the fiddle detail parts. Luckily, this won't be my first rodeo, but it will be the first time I'm paying for the pictures (vs being paid). It's almost easier when some photog contacts you all, "hey, every wanna be a mermaid? or fawn or... part of x, y, z, project" xp
I will have a contact with this photog, I paid for a 3 hour session, I will have my hair and makeup done for me (how fancy!). I will get to keep X number of pictures which shall be mine, to which I shall add my own watermark (go go pshop skills). They want to do light touch up, but I have the know-how to do my own. I'm trying to talk them into just giving me some of the raw files so I can edit and post ASAP, but that might be a point of contention (oh noes, it might mess with their artistic flow). They did sound really nice on the phone, so I fully expect to have nice pictures and both my kidneys by the end of the shoot.
