Help, how do I post a photo URL?sad_smile

Hi there -- I'm a newly listed provider here and I can't figure out how to post a photo URL to my ad. I built my own website and am pretty computer savvy but this step is confounding me. I right-clicked on my image to copy the image address, but because it is an online location, it doesn't have the .jpg, etc. file extension that this site requires.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! I really want to post my photos with my ad to generate more interest. :-)

Thanks, loves!
Arden James

Many providers use imagecoast, but there are others. Once they are on the hosting site, you copy the URL from that site (which should be a .jpg) and then paste it into the picture URL box under your ad.

I have a couple of other comments.

1.  You are allowed to post your web link to any post you make as a reply, but you are not supposed to ad it to an Original Post (threadstarter).

2. I glanced at your website and you have very few photos  and they don't show much, and they are only found one per page on different pages. You should add a photo page. Men are visual. That is the first thing many will look for when clicking on your page. I assume you know this which is why you want to add photos to your ad posts, so it is a bit surprising you created a nice website without  a photo page.

Welcome to TER and good luck.

I'm reading and reading ... I saw this: "equally at home in Manhattan’s streets or the Pacific Northwest’s hiking trails" but I can't tell where you are. Your incall is a sanctuary ... but WHAT CITY is it in?  If you do travel, maybe add a Calendar or My Schedule page.
.
I was able to snag your photo links as jpgs. I'll try posting a pic of your laundry but not the ones of you. But there is a problem using your website as an image server. IT WASN'T MADE TO BE AN IMAGE SERVER and your webhost might get pissed and terminate your account.  You should use one of the dedicated sites, such as imagecoast.
.
As per perfectstorm, your website should have a Gallery section with your photos. I'd bet that Providers who do web analytics of their sites probably find that the first click after landing on the home page is Gallery! Grab 'em by the eyeballs and reel 'em in!  If you don't hook 'em early, they'll swim -- er, click -- away.
.
And you require a deposit from new friends?  How is that working out?  Deposits are not very popular among TER members. Why? Search "deposits" on Newbie and General and read some of the comments.
.
Good luck!

Hi impposter -- Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my site. I've taken your and perfectstorm's advice and added a Gallery page. It was in the works but finally had time to snap a few extra photos this afternoon. I also removed the new friend deposit (I haven't been implementing that). I'll also look into imagecoast. Thanks again!

Hi AJ,

I checked out your site.  It looks nice but your donations was not easy to find.  There are three items that I should never have to search for, pictures, donation, and how to contact you.

I would recommend moving your donation up to the top of it's existing page rather than several pages down.
