Admin is usually reluctant to add new regional boards, last time was a couple of years ago.  So, it's unlikely a Sacramento board would be added.  My geography is a bit rusty, so I don't remember whether Sac is closer to SF or LA.  Use whichever is closer to post ads.  You can also use the 'Other cities' board.

If you have not read the self help center, I recommend doing that soon so you are aware of posting and ad posting guidelines.
Then, if you have questions, come back here.  You might want to introduce yourself on the regional board closest to you.  Start posting there so new potential friends can get a feel for your personality.

but you are always welcome to suggest it on the Suggestion and Policy Board.  Who knows, maybe they will put up one.

Right now California has 4 boards: San Diego, Orange County, LA, and SF.

I suggest using the SF board as Sacramento is not too far north of SF, at least as California standard go.

You can also post under "other" but that is pretty amorphous.

You can alternate between the two to get maximum exposure.

You can ask on the S&P board for TER to add a new board for Sacramento, but there are already lots of dead boards out there. (look at the Kansas board). The last new board added was Alabama. A bunch of people cried for an Alabama board and now they got it but don't use it.  

However in this case, because of the influx of new folks from the other site, TER may want to start a new board to give them a home. I wouldn't suggest a specific Sacramento board but perhaps a Calif Central Valley board.
