I always encourage newcomers to check out the Self Help Center and Discussion Board Policies that you'll find linked on this site.  Look for the red and white life preserver near the top right of the page.

Study them well as they'll help you to use TER for your benefit.  The rules here are many, but mostly make sense.

If you have any questions afterwards please come back and ask as that's what we do here

This is a good place to meet new people and make some really good friends...and get some good advice when you have questions.

When you read the self help center, pay close attention to the ad posting guidelines.  You should also begin posting on your local regional board, and put your once a week ad on your regional ad board.  You can also post daily on the Photo only board.  I'm the host of the newbie board, so if you need a private answer, feel free to PM me.

LLAP,
Swim

The first thing I see however, when I click on your pics, is that they only stay in focus for one second, then they blur and leave the frame.

I am using Explorer so you need to tell your webmaster that. You should check your site against a number of browsers/mobile devices.

maybe I missed it but I didn't see anything on your website that indicates where you are based.

Very nice site ... and nice sight! I see your area code but I don't see a clear statement of "... based in LOCATION and environs ..." or similar. These days, area codes are almost meaningless when it comes to determining a location. If your home base is mentioned, I'm sorry I missed it, but maybe that just means it should be more prominent to other guys as dense as me.

I didn't have the "sharp, then fade" problem with your pics. But you do have to have your web guys play to the lowest (or safest) common denominator. NO FLASH! No fancy scripts. No auto-play audio files. No huge image files that take forever to download and freeze our computer just as someone comes into the room, ... I currently use a configuration that automatically blocks / asks for permission to load pics from certain domains (to protect against malware and other exploits). Your site came thru OK.

You might want to consider watermarking your pics before someone steals them to post fake ads with your pics.

Good luck
