So, start with the Newbie/Self Help Manual that you will find linked on this site.  It has a good overview of the hobby in general and TER in particular.

As to finding a good agency in your area, you can use the local Kansas and Missouri boards for that part of the country to inquire.

Glad to see that you are enthusiastic about this world!!! Please do your research about the agencies, not everything is as good as it looks sometimes. Take your time, talk to the owners, ask to speak to the girls, try to find a mentor.
