I am a very hairy fellow. That gets razor bumps down there, not pleasant at all. I found a sort of solution, a cream hair remover. You apply wait a bit, then wipe it off. Downside, it stinks like I fart from front and back. This isn't actually a confidence booster. Any solutions that don't smell like rotten eggs or involve Mach 3 razors?

Many providers will give your twig and especially the berries more loving attention, if you are shaved or at least trimmed neatly.  However, it is your choice, to shave/trim or not.  I started after being in the hobby for a while, and like the results.  A clipper, like the Phillips Norelco Bodygroomer, is good to remove the bushy stuff.  Once that is done, use a razor to clean it up.

No provider will refuse you service for being unshaven down there that I have met. Now if your particularly hairy down there that may limit how much of a BJ you will get. If she's making a face and pulling hair out of her mouth you might want to consider it. I knew it was time for me when hairs were getting caught in the condom while it was being unrolled which can be painful.
