I am very new to the site and the business so let me start by saying I am really enjoying myself. I have read and made several posts and find that there are many exciting and wonderful topics and discussions to partake of.

I like how your site is set up, the ease of navigating, and the content; but here are some (I hope.) constructive criticisms:

First, the pale red against black is hard to read.  Find colors that contrast better.  I know that black is a popular background for technical reasons, but the easiest to read sites use a dark print against a light pastel background.

Next, your photos are nice, but slide shows are a bit time consuming for many hobbyists.  When I clicked on any of your many interesting looking thumbnails, I got a page saying that the page would not open.  This should be corrected.  Also, it's nice when photos open up to the entire screen.  Best is when a photo opens just by moving the mouse over it.

Finally, Jazz indicated that you are in Michigan, but I could find nothing on your site that identified your location.  This should be indicated right on the first page.
