but these days, I think some men live in jeans... lol

When a lady, local or travelling, is using a hotel for an incall, discretion is the better part of valour.  The lady relies upon the gentleman arriving  discretely and not drawing undue attention to himself.  She may have more than one appointment schedule at the hotel and it is important that her visit does not draw undue attention of the front desk or other hotel staff.

That said, here are some tips (and they are especially true for smaller hotels and extended stays):

1.  Make sure you have brought your "gift envelope" and identification with you to the appointment.  Running back out to your car to get these items should be avoided.  Yes, you will need a valid I.D. even if you have been prescreened.  The lady knows only that she prescreened "John Smith," and now she wants to be make sure that the person at her door is the person she prescreened.

2.  Call the lady from the parking lot, or outside of the hotel, to get the room number.  Unless its a very large and busy hotel, placing that call and the subsequent conversation from the inside lobby will be most likely be noticed.  Lets face it, most people (including hotel staff) are nosey.  Also if the lady is running late, you are left sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for her to let you know she is ready and, again, this draws unnecessary attention to yourself and to the lady.

3.  Rather than just getting the room number, stay on the line and find out the location of the guest room elevators from the front door.  The easiest way to drawn undue attention is by wandering aimlessly throughout the lobby looking for an elevator.  You are likely to have a member of the staff ask you if you are; a) checking in or b) offering to assist you.  Since there are numerous shifts operating at hotels, if you act like a registered guest who is familiar with the layout, you will not draw attention to yourself.

*4.  Carry a gym bag or a handled shopping bag if you are bringing the lady a gift and put any flowers, wine or presents in the bag.  Gifts are always welcome and unexpected.  Women love gifts and appreciate when they are given.  However, if you show up as if you are a dinner guest with a bottle of wine and a bouquet of flowers in hand, this will certainly be noticed.  Even more noticeable, that bright pink striped "Victoria's Secret" bag.  These should also be placed in a plain shopping bag or a gym bag. (If you are bringing a bottle of wine, it may also be advisable to bring a cork screw.  Not all hotels provide them.)

5.  When you arrive at the lady's room, tap on the door lightly and discreetly.  Be patient.  If she does not open the door right away, tap again lightly.  It is never OK to pound on the door.  If possible, arrange for her to be waiting for you by the door so she can open it quickly.  Wait until you enter the room before exchanging any greetings.  There are other guests in the hotel and hotel staff who may notice your entry and overhear your introduction.  In other words saying, "Hello Sinful" from the hallway would not be advisable.

6.  When leaving, say your goodbyes and collect your goodbye kisses inside the door.  Then leave quietly.

7. As always, if you are running late (even if through no fault of your own), it is important to call the lady and let her know of any delay.  Even if she is only seeing one other client that day, it does not mean that the other appointment is not immediately after yours and your tardiness may interfere with that appointment.

This all sounds like common sense, but its amazing that "common sense is not so common."

*#4 is not intended to influence hobbyists to bring gifts to ladies.  It is merely to point out the best way to transport any gift you may decide to bring.

The photo attached is done so solely for the purpose of demonstration purposes.  Would this guy draw attention at, lets say, an Extended Stay hotel?

are (1) act like you belong in the hotel (have confidence).

(2) If the lady is doing outcall to your hotel, give her the information referenced above in #3.  For example: "Take a left at the front desk, the elevators are down the hall on the right.  When you get off the elevator on my floor, take a right and my room is about halfway down on the left right next to the ice machine."

one thing that has made this a little harder is being at the hotel or just around the corner & I call to ask for room # & get the 'Can you give me 10/15 min.& call back?' Then I've got to try to stay inconspicious for 15-20 min.  If you're in a parking lot it's not too hardzn just drive away & come back, but I see many providers in urban hotels in DC & travel by Metro. There's not always a shop or Starbucks nearby to loiter in. Plus in the wintertime, sitting outside on a park bench is both cold & somewhat noticeable.
Also, as to parking lots, at least during daylight hours, one can get away with a few minutes using a BlackBerry or phone app.

and try not to grin too much.

I travel several times a year to the pharmaceutical manufacturers association conference and many of the CEO, CFO, PRESIDENTS, VICE PRESIDENTS, AND CHAIRMAN of some of the largest drug compaines in the world show up in their private and company jets wearing jeans.

A reminder is always good.  I like to know where I am going & as I usually drive a fair distance I plan to arrive somewhat early.  Sitting in a parked car (loitering) is NOT DISCRETE & likely to draw attention of LE &/or staff.  I back track to the coffee shop I passed & return 1 minute before the time.

PS All attention to parking may not have to do with the hobby...  could be as simple as preventing thefts from guests autos.

because you're running late and don't have the time to find a legal spot, place a placard on your dash that reads:

"Emergency:  Vital human fluids delivery being made.  Will be leaving within an hour."

Works every time.

:o)

But they will be YOUR fluids!!!

I know you were imparting knowledge with the humor, mrfisher...  getting a parking ticket or vehicle towed from somewhere you're not supposed to be would be a bonehead move.

Sorry but number 1 needs to be tossed out. IF i am whitelisted by 5 providers on TER who are VERY reputable (talking women in the 400-500 dollar price range), and on top of that i give the provider my date-check ID and I have 10 references on there as well and the lady still wants to see my ID, i will look elsewhere.

I know of one provider right now who got arrested a couple of months ago and is currently providing information to LE and this is a woman who is a upscale escort with numerous TER reviews. I am not going to show me ID to a woman who could put me in jail, on top of it, why should she know my real name when i dont know hers?

With all due respect to unbearable horniness, please stay out of my handicapped parking space.

Do not get your own towel from the maid.I had a darling sweet guy do this but then that evening the maid asked me who he was.She a friend but she doesn't know my proffession. It was hard to answer her.

Sometimes we're in cities and locales that we are not familiar with.  I research like crazy when I visit a new city.  I check where the ladies are staying on ads (if a general area is given) and on the forums but sometimes... it's hit or miss.  That said: If I'm in a hotel that's in an unsavory area or not the area normally frequented PLEASE TELL ME.

If you see that I'm coming to your area and would like to see me it'd be wonderful to have a line or two about where you recommend I stay on your booking form.
