I'm a newbie who has set up his first date with someone in the DFW area. I've done a lot of reading on these discussion boards, on the provider's website, and those of other providers. What I'm not too sure about is gratuities. All providers say that they aren't required and list some stores they like if a person is really intent on giving one. I know from times in VIP rooms, tips are pretty substantial and are definitely expected.
My question is, if someone quotes a price for time, do they expect a cash tip on top of that? If so, do you tip upfront with the payment, or leave it on a table before the person leaves? Is it like restaurant gratuities where 20 percent is expected?
Some girls DO expect tips, and those are the girls you don't want to see. I never expect a tip, but when I get one I'm very thankful and I'm sure to remember a little more about that gentleman than others possibly...
Tip AFTER service. Otherwise tipping is an oxymoron and you might be setting yourself up to be disappointed. Just because you DON'T tip doesn't mean she was exceptional or amazing, a good provider knows that. But IF you do tip afterwards we know we did a very good job!
I'd rather a guy come see me regularly than tip me. I find that out of town clients are usually the tippers!
Stripping and escorting are different worlds. You pay a fee to take a stripper to a vip room, most of that goes to the house. If you want action, you tip more. Same in a massage parlor; the 60 bucks you pay for a massage gets you a massage, you tip for extras.
An independent escort lists her rate for time, and that is what you pay. A tip is a tip - you decide the amount, give it after service is rendered, just like in a restaurant. Most reputable escorts truly do not expect or require tips, and are genuinely appreciative when they receive one.
Agency escorts often make significantly less per hour than their independent counterparts. Reputable agency girls still do not require tips, but if you like the service and intend to repeat with that agency, it's probably a good idea to tip. Just like if you frequent the same restaurant, if you don't tip, sooner or later it has to affect your service, don't you think?
In smaller market areas, both agencies and indies sometimes play the tip game - advertise a low rate and then say something like "the rate is just for me to come to your room, now here is the menu". They wouldn't get away with that crap in an area that was regularly reviewed.
don't go by what you would tip a waitress who is only bringing you eggs lol. Tip based on her service and overall attitude, location, prompt responses. If you feel she was a bargain at her rate based on the outsanding service she provided in comparison to others, tip her.
Thank you all for the great responses. You all definitely helped straightened this out, just in time to get my first at-bat tomorrow night.
