How can you be sure your not stepping into a sting using incall

Few concepts are 100% in life, and the hobby reflects that but:

1) A number of consistent reviews on a site like TER can vastly increase your odds against a "sting."  No doubt reviews can be faked, and anyone can do them, providers, shills, LE, but you lessen the likelihood by reading the reviews of consistent providers over time.

2) You can PM  consistent reviewers about a particular provider,  and check their other reviews and they will likely share information with you about a provider they've seen/reviewed.

3) P411 does a thorough job of verifying providers and clients. It's free to join for providers. It's also a prolific source of providers (Indy and Agencies) in your area or the city you will be in or someone coming to your area who is  "newbie friendly. In addition it's a way for you to get verified more quickly with some  providers because you can send your profile to them via email from P411. It also has a system of "okays" where a provider can  login and say her experience with you was safe and "okay" vouching for you.

4) Read several back pages of this board.  The info from Swimtreckr's  highly unpaid help can be invaluable, and they and providers that contribute here have taught me a lot that's useful.

5) Go up to the right hand corner of most TER webpages including this one and read all of the links listed in "TER's Instruction Self-Help Manual" I linked here:

http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewmsg.asp?BoardID=33&Page=1&Messageid=75528

6) Go down to the bottom of the page and check out a number of the links on the Site Map linked here:

http://www.theeroticreview.com/site_map/

7) Read your threads  local board several pages back (or scan them).

8) Scan the local ad boards several pages back.

None of this takes that long.

You will see that there are many threads on this topic several times a week on the newbie board and you can get them grouped by googling "sting LE the erotic review" are a similar search term.

9) Many people will post that LE tends to go after "bigger fish" like agencies, but established experienced agencies in my city take extraordinary precautions to insure that doesn't happen and one of their primary goals is the safety of their providers.  The same is true of the vast majority of  smart indies.  TER also has information on agencies.

10) If you troll sites like Back Pages, you are more likely to encounter a sting (several have happened in my area in the past few years), and it is a mine-field of ripoff situations and TOFTT  situations, although since it is cheap advertising, a lot of legit providers get their start or continue to advertise there.

The key for guys to survive is DO THE RESEARCH!!!!!!!.  Just like the ladies screen us, we have to check them out.  If you book time with some hot chick you found somewhere without checking her phone number, her pics, her reviews are setting yourself up for either disappointment or being busted.

There is no such thing as a guarantee in the hobby, but if you are diligent, you can minimize your chances of not having a good time or being busted.

There are many threads on this board talking about this.  Do a search for 'research' and you'll probably find some ones to read.
