I am trying to pre-book a provider who will be in my city in March.  I don't have a lot of references, as I am very picky and haven't seen a reliable provider since last February, and she is requesting I email a photo ID to her to screen me.  I have never had a provider request this before, and am unsure as to how safe it is.  I know she is only concerned about her safety, same as I am concerned about mine.  Any helpful suggestions would sure ease my mind.

Thanks!

....so, I would never use that, as a sole means of verification.  If you do choose to e-mail her a copy, I would suggest blacking out your license number and birth year.

All ladies screen differently, and if  the lady you wish to see, has reviews, you might want to contact a few reviewers, to see if all is well.

The suggestion is to go to the next girl on your list who wont ask you to compromise your security like that. 99.9999% of providers will not ask this of you. Move on.

It came up once with me. After a provider and I had a lot of communication hurtles come up. She just wa snot feeling comfortable but told me if I was willing to trust her with that she would trust me. That is what it is about for me. I have no business not extending some measure of trust to a woman willing to meet me alone.

If you do it, as already said, block out your address and license number.  Maybe you should relax your pickyness and broaden your choices.  There are plenty of providers out there that will not want that type of verification.  Don't know where you are, but there has to be a sufficient number of ladies there that you could visit.

But that you won't show photo ID until you meet up with her.

I have shared personal information, but I wouldn't feel comfortable showing her my face and my ID.  Not unless she wanted to do the same for me.

had several providers ask to see a DL when I visit them.  You can always cover up your address, DL #, etc.

I should not have to say but there are many SCAMS to try to get your credit card information.  They'll say it's for verification or only costs a dollar...  or to pay some up front fee beore your date.  THE DATE WILL NEVER HAPPEN.  It might not even be a gal.  But some creapy dude in Nigeria with stolen photos.  You'll end up cancelling your card & getting your bank to reissue a new one.
