good idea to have a back-up plan...also make sure your phone has voice mail

Recently I was unavoidably detained at a function and was going to be late for a session with an out of town visitor at my incall.

When I called to let him know and to reschedule, I found out his phone didn't have voice mail. I then tried calling right at the time of the appointment, assuming he would have his phone turned on, but he didn't. So, there was no way to communicate with him.

I ended up leaving him an email message later that  night(hoping to meet him the next day), but since he didn't have email access on the trip, he didn't see it until he got home.

As it turned out he had a session planned the following night with another provider. Something came up and she had to reschedule too. Like me, she was not able to communicate with him either. The poor guy did not have a good weekend.

So, definitely have a back-up plan, keep all numbers handy, keep your phone charged, and make sure you have voice mail to take messages.

I had scheduled a date in advance for an out of town travel destination, and due to circumstances beyond the provider's control, we were not able to meet or reschedule.

I wished that I had the phone number of my second choice, and will have a backup plan for my next trip.

Dear sexxygirl

I understand "things happen" and have been fortunate to have 100% of my appointments kept as scheduled. Just out of curiosity, what percentage of clients that had to reschedule have you given a second chance?

best wishes
