For those of you that have "issues" using your every day cell phone to make calls to providers,or don't own a cell phone at all, I recommend buying a prepaid cell phone. They are cheap at RadioShack, you can buy a small number of minutes and re-up the minutes when it runs out. No 2 year monthly billing or anything like that. You are given a phone number and voicemail, and you also do not have to give out any personal info when registering the phone. You can even register the phone in a different zip code. Just giving back for once.

when you choose a pre-paid.  They are often not as wide as contract cell networks.  Make sure you can use the phone in the places you are likely to play.

Couldn't agree more.  One of the best pieces of advise I ever got was to get a TrakFone.  
A few ladies have been concerned when the initial e-mail to them says that this isn't my "everyday" phone and the times when I can be reached on it are limited, but so far with some explanation it has worked out...
