Since you say you have been lurking here, I assume you have already read the self help manual, and are well versed in many of the questions and opics that are asked and answered here repeatedly.

I do recommend you get the VIP, at least when you are ready to see a provider. The 30 bucks is well worth it and will pay for itself very quickly. You need it to read the important part of the reviews, and to be able to use the PM system which is an invaluable tool also. If you are not a frequent hobbyist, you can always cancel it. I had done that for years, where I would pay for a month VIP, when I was ready to see a lady, then do all the research I could during that month,  then cancel it, then sign up again 6 months later or so for another month. You can also earn a lot of free days by submitting reviews, and problem reports.
