I am a newbie looking to take the plunge. I have come across a provider who interests me but only has 1 review. Is it OK to ask on my regional board if anyone has additional info? I have no history on TER so will that be a problem getting responses?
You have good instincts for a newb. Your dead on about posting a 411 on your local board. as mrfisher commented just phrase your request politely and see what happensl. Have you tried googlling her phone #. I'm not sure where you are located, but there are many cities with local review boards. TER guidelines do not permit me to mention any other local or national reveiw boards, but she could have reviews elsewhere. Good luck, and make sure to check out the self help center, in red print back on the main newbie page
Thanks for the quick reply. The reviewer actually had 9 other reviews. She actually posted once on the regional board and has a very professional web site. I was thinking she wants to be UTR. I will put her on my favorites list and hope another review pops up. Thanks again for the advice.
I would go ahead and see her. If the reviewer has nine other reviews that would make me comfortable enough to check her out - unless he's often the only reviewer. That would be a bad sign.
Since you are new at this you really want to go with someone that knows the ropes. Spending time with someone just starting out might be a bad idea. Both of you will be lost
