I have only seen one or two providers who asked to see my id.  I'd say it's fairly easy to remain annonymous in my experience.  Just give a fake name.  After all, you probably won't know the provider's real name.  It's only fair.  I've never been given the third degree as far as a provider wanting to know for sure who I am, etc.  I have made appointments before and all they asked for was my name.  

I'd say go with the providers who don't ask for much information and stay away from the ones who do.  Also, you could conduct your communication just from free email accounts.  Hope that helps, but what your doing has never been a concern of mine.  At least providers don't sell names and numbers of customers like many legit companies do.   Good luck and don't forget to share the wealth.

It works easily in practice, via prepaid cell phone that leads nowhere

The last 200 providers I saw for companionship, AND NOTHING MORE!, just know me as Rhett Butler, or Steven Schlmielberg, or whatever, and they have my prepaid cell phone number, that leads to a vacant lot.
I call and we chat a bit about how awesome they are and I'd like to see them later today or tomorrow. E-mail is what leads to inquiries, not the telephone.
Have a conversation that shows you studied them and the website and think they are hot.
Use words like "companionship" and what wine do you like, or do you like fine chocolates, etc.
You don't need to spend a lot.
If you have the time, go to Montreal, Toronto, Victoria BC, Prague, Budapest, Caracas, Rio, and the women there are much nicer individuals, one-fourth the cost, no American bitch attitude.
