New providers putting their toes in the water should not be subjected to being called "hookers."  There's plenty of time to jump into the deep end of the pool on the General Board.  This board should be an oasis of gentility.

I must admit that I don't have your patience, swim, when I see questions that have been asked many times before.  I will strive to do better.

have been doing a good job helping out the newbies. True that some threads have gotten out of hand and the newbie board should not be a place for trainwrecks.

As far as the repeated questions, while most of us dont mind answering them, I also see no problem in telling newbies to use the search feature and pointing them to past threads. As a former teacher I am sure you didnt just give out all the answers to your students, but instead taught them how to find the correct answers. This should be no different. In fact, when this newbie board was first started in 2002. there were repeated posts from TER admin ecouraging people to search first, then ask questions if they cant find what they wanted in a search.

I try to help when I can. You are right, newbie board is not for slamming anyone. Thing I like about TER is helping one another. Some are in competition but yet somehow we respect each other and help. It really is great.  

I float some of my regulars when they travel to certain other gals and they are so great to me afterwords

.....I am not new to the business, by any means, but I still fairly new to the boards.  You, and your unpaid assitants have been most helpful.

I am fine now.  Still settling in after moving from one house to another.  Unpacking is a bitch, to say the least.  I really do appreciate all the help and kind words from all of you.

the use of an alias on the Newbie Board.

I moderated this board for a couple of years and know from experience that some things will never change:

- The same questions come up over, and over again.
- occasionally an idiot will try to spoil the fun
- mfisher will be in the list of top poster
- and most important, there is a great group of guys and gals willing to help out
