The last thing I want is booking forms complaining about my prices as a newbie.. I have done research on my talents, personality & appearance via online/in person, so I am deciding were to start 300hrly or 400hrly.
& I have read other posts & my next question is are introductory rate a good way to start out or even the norm of most new providers?Dear Ms. Arlotte:
What you want to do is make sure that you get some reviews and then eventually get on the verification sites. As you start getting more reviews then your demand goes up. As your demand goes up then you can charge higher rates. Also what you have to figure is your expenses. If you can maybe you can share an incall with another provider or go online to get deals on upscale hotels and the like. So if you started between 250 to maybe 325 since you would be considered a tofft that would be a good place to start. Also seek out known reviews with a special type of inducement so that now you would be chronicled and a known commodity.
Also keep in mind a do a study with respect to this subject. Although you wouldn't consider yourself a high volume provider, start with a price point which might be slightly high. Then see if you start getting bites on that price. If the activity is slightly low, drop it by say 25 to 50 and see if there is a fair level of interest there. Once it is determined that you are getting a fair level of interest and they are verified then stop there until you have enough ink on you so that you can raise your rates.
With respect to 400, that is an elite level and those providers are fairly well chronicled and proven within their geographical areas. Stay away from that until you know that you can command that fee on a consistent basis. Also look at the competition and see what the average price would be for someone with your exposure and experience. Those would be excellent rules of thumb to determine price point and how to conduct business at this point in your career.
According to a provider I know "NJ is a GFE State" (meaning BBBJ is the expected norm); one of the reasons she doesn't visit NJ is because she only provides CBJ. I don't know what you provide - just something to keep in mind. With that said, from what I've seen, agencies (of which there are several in NJ) seem to average 250-300 (sometimes as low as 200). Indies tend to be 250-350 (from what I've seen). For higher amounts you'd need to go across the river to Manhattan; there you find 400-600 with 500 an avg (IMHO). Of course hotels, etc. are more expensive in NYC so it probably averages out to about the same "profit" per lady.
As a newbie, I recommend starting at the lower end of the range to attract clients TOFTT; once you have some reviews and an "established" presence in the "community" you can start to raise your price. My gut feeling is that if you start 250-300 you'd do better (more inquires) in the begining than if you start off at 400.

That's an unwise thing to do. Because of course they are going to tell you to charge something low?
I have a 2 hour minimum for 1k. If I asked boys on my local board, I would get something like 250 or 200. Not going to happen. Do what is right for you, have a strong brand and business will follow.

Yep, I agree with China. Charge what you feel your time is worth, but if you are catering to one market and ONE market only without another income, sometimes you will have to come down.
It can come off rude of me to say "charge what you want", when I use another job to make ends meet.
If this is your only income, then you may have to start lower to be competitive, especially if you're going for the midrange market. It's kind of hobbyist/review dominated at that level, versus the low end and high end where it isn't.
You can always start slightly higher, but make sure you have a strong brand, something that makes you really really different. This brand my change over time, but it you start with a hook, then you'll be 3 steps ahead of other girls.
Good luck!
Your DC profile refers potential clients to see your website for your rates, but there is no link to your website on your profile.
the girls i know all started at 400..depending on demand..you can adjust it up or down according to your cash flow and bookings..
I'm in the Philly area! Most of my browsing around has revealed rates between 300-400 I think. Some girls will advertise 500 per hour, and they usually market themselves as "elite" or "vip" companions.
I've got a few different thoughts about this actually... On one hand I think start off maybe 350 per hour... On the other hand, I'm thinking go with a higher rate. Get settled in with a website, get some nice photos, and also do your best to promote yourself as a high quality companion. Think of the photos like your hook sentence in an essay. That will get your potential clients' attention, then reel them in by promising a fantastic experience for them. Once your name gets around a little bit you should have plenty of clients looking to book
Good luck in the area! Perhaps we'll meet sometime ![]()
There are good providers in the 200 range. Better in the 250 range. Few successful providers in the 300 range.
Largely it depends on your hotness, skills & services, and your need for cash. Higher priced gals... who might have a day job & limited availability might do OK at the higher end.
On the other hand, I've seen gals raise rates only to have their business plummet. Intros & Specials are a good way to explore the market... and see the traffic response.
Costs in the area also effect the market rates...
