Sound a little complicated unless you got a lot of time on your hands to do that at home; and you are planning it advance. But for hobbyist such as myself who are more spontaneous with theirs, here is another solution to try.
Believe it or not, I got this solution from my 13 year old nephew. That’s right 13. He’s not a hobbyist by the way! LOL  He goes to a chartered school, and their computers block almost everything that has any profanity or negative content such as YouTube, MySpace, etc.  Much like the blocks on the computer at your job. Well the kids have found a way around this. There is a, what they call CGI proxy server which if you are able to access at work, allows you to go through their server, or website to access all those naughty sites that we love to visit. Once you are on this page, you are not typing sites into your IE URL, you are using a URL within the actual webpage.  Here is the best part. When surfing through this server, it does not leave tracks of the names of the websites you have visited in your history.  So at first glance, someone monitoring your history cannot tell, and nothing incriminating sticks out. However, it does leave tracks of the actual server though, with the web address followed by a bunch of script codes behind it. Careful, because if copied and pasted into the URL, it takes you directly to the site that that particular script code was assigned to.
Also, make sure there is a good popup blocker because there is a shit load of ad which pop up, and those do show up in the history as well. To be safe, it is always good to remember to clean out your history and all the cookies, through the Internet Options on your computer after you are done. This will keep people from finding out that you are using a proxy server to do your dirt, and end up blocking access to it as well.
One last thing that is cool about  this server. It allows you to chat, using your MSN, AIM, or Yahoo messengers, even though  your job probably does not allow messengers to be installed on your computer either. There’s no need for any installation though, because they are somehow installed, and run on their server. You just have to sign in.
TER, if you don’t know about this, you are going to thank me for it.
Currently the kids are using this at a junior high school to get on whatever sites they want, so unless your job is already hip to this, then you should not have a problem. Try it on Monday when you go back to work, and come back and tell us what happened.
OK now that you have read all the warnings here’s what you have been waiting for!!!

Have fun hobby surfing at work!!! Don’t get fired!!! Or there’s no more hobbying for a while!!! LOL

If you guys are like me working in Corporate America you know you can't go on line to sites with any sexual nature.  The firewall blocks sites on their list and TER would be in that class because it says Erotic right in the URL.

This is a problem for me because if I decide to see a lovely provider after work on my way home or later in the evening I have to go home (20 miles)in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic to access TER. Bummer.

Well now, I bought a password protected flash drive, about $20.  So now I copy my top "to do list" providers' web profiles (usually Cityvibe) into a word document and then paste in some of her latest reviews and then name the file "week of June 16" for instance and bring the drive to work.

Then at work I can insert the drive into my company PC and access the drive, type in my password write down the provider's number and call from a secure location in the building (usually a conference room) on my cell phone after I have logged off the drive to set up an appointment.  So if anyone comes to my computer and wants to see what I have been looking at they just see "week of June 16" and can't access the file because they don't have the password and the drive has been returned to my pocket.

I tell you guys this works great.

I am saving time and saving gas and being more efficient.  Thank you TER and modern technology!

Hi S,
Just be sure to check your prospects on TER first!
Your drive idea works well.  I've been doing somthing similar.  Just remember not to down load it into your work computer.  Don't leave tracks!

An easier way to surf the web is to get a phone that has a decent browser, and get a plan with unlimited data - i.e. get an iPhone or a Nokia smartphone, and make sure you are using EDGE or 3G waves instead WiFi.
