First time posting. Where do we find comments or post comments about providers who are no shows after confirming an appointment? I've had this occurred and want to avoid wasting my time with flakes. If there is a place I can look up the providers who have a history of no shows, I would not have even bothered making an appt. Appreciate the guidance.
...find out who has a habit of no shows. You can post about it on your regional board when it happens but the post will be off the first page before long. You can't review about it as no meeting took place.
I wish there was something to see no shows. I am afraid to post anything negative though especially as a newbie because if the other girls see that they might just not want to see you. When I posted about it before the general suggestions were to find better providers or just deal with them being late. I think it may vary by region because a lot of people told me it is rare but for my limited experience it is the norm. Currently I have 2 no shows, 2 over an hour late and 4 no response to appointment requests on p411. As of yet, I have never had a provider respond to a request within 48 hours and be on time for the appointment. I think once I get out of the newbie friendly providers it might by better.
and confine your hobbying to those providers who have a significant number of positive reviews. Not an indicator that she will never pull a NCNS, but I believe it decreases the likelihood.

for the provider's name regardless of how old your post becomes. I always do a name search on regional board as part of research on a potential provider. You can post with an alias to allay the concerns that you mention below.
If the lady is well reviewed, there is a very small likelihood that she would simply not show up (nor contact you) for an appointment. If she did that often enough, chances are that she is not a good provider and eventually it would be reflected in her reviews.
Now, "life" happens to everyone. Both hobbyists and providers all have things arise that may cause us to cancel appointments last second. The key is communication. Most well respected ladies will convey a cancellation to their clients as soon as possible. As long as both sides communicate asap that they are cancelling, its frustrating, but everyone should understand.
I have been very fortunate in my choices. I think I have only had one provider (she was very well reviewed here, over 50 positive reviews) in the past 10 years, who simply "flaked" on me after confirming an appointment (in fact the confirmation, via the phone was only an hour beforehand). Apparently, her girlfriend stopped by in the interim and they just had to talk. So when I got to the area and tried to call to get the apartment specifics, there was no answer. I followed through the next day (really to see if all was alright) and that was the explanation I got....with no real apology. So I never saw her. Unacceptable on her part, but what are you going to do..
TER really should consider a board or spot to report this. This is especially hard for newbies.
I have had similar negative experiences and it is frustrating because there is no place to let others know (and yes there is concern about backlash). Just posting on the regional board is not enough really given travel and touring.
I have moved on from these negative experiences and have found an excellent provider who was both on time and wonderful in every respect.
However, before that point my experience even with well reviewed newbie providers was negative. The most frustrating part is after a confirmation and then a no show, the supposedly professional (and supposedly well reviewed) provider won't respond to an e-mail or even open them (P411 allows you to see if they have opened them). And no I did not send a negative e-mail or bombard with many e-mails. Yes, cancellations happen because outside life happens, but a real professional attitude would then be to send a note of explanation.
Yes, we know flake outs happen on both sides of this, but manners should also be considered for both sides.
If you have tried to contact the provider & tried to get an explanation & an apology then go ahead. If you post a notice on your local board, you should include her Provider name and phone number. TER ID too would be nice if you know it. Expect to be flamed by her white knights if she is a well reviewed provider. I was stood up by a well reviewed provider who never answered her phone the morning of so my opportunity was lost. Since I didn't meet her, I can not write a review.
