I have just the opposite question than pacman34 (below).

At 55 yo, I'm thinking of entering the hobby for the first time. (Wife's batteries running low, etc.)

I have a few questions:

1. Will providers want to see me?

2. Should I be up-front about my age on the phone, before we meet?

3. How sensitive are providers about seeing men of age? And are the youngest girls very much more sensitive than those in, say, their 30's.

As they say, age is just a number. Some people are only 35 but act and feel like they are 60!  As a provider in her 30's, I don't see a problem with someone your age.  May be different for a younger provider.  I don't normally ask a hobbyist his age.  It's not that important to me. Are you clean, respectful and have all your teeth?  Then we are good to go!  

Reviews tell you alot of information... even about age preferences.  Secondly, read the provider's website.  There are some providers who are between 18 and their early 20s who frankly do not wish to meet with older gentlemen.  But, they usually say that up front on their site.  If not, they ask your age on their "prescreening form."  

I always believe honesty is the best policy.  If a provider is young and does not wish to meet with someone in their 50's, and you have not divulged this info, the chances are that the "erotic encounter" will not be fulfilling for either of you.  Her, because she will be "forcing herself" to perform.. you because you will sense this.  

Isn't it better to be with someone who wants to see you?

55 isn't old today. I wish I was 55 again.

Having just entered the hobby this year at the ripe old age of 68 (I celebrated my 69th birthday by visiting a marvelous provider) I found some youthful 40 year old ladies who have the skills and attitude that can only come with maturity. And since their physical attributes are their fortunes, these ladies take care of themselves as no civilian ever will. I have been fortunate to meet ladies in their 40s with the hard bodies of those in their 20s, but with far greater sensitivity and a better attitude than most youngsters have.
