Some escorts truly hate newbies. They get a note from some hapless gent stating that he's new to the game, and they groan. Will he be a major pain? Will he follow my protocol? He's unknown and untested... what if he misbehaves?

Valid points, all.... and I've had my share of moments with the innocent, the inept, and the inexperienced. But lately I've been finding that the fellows who haven't been around that much... well, they don't take you for granted, either.

Take M---, for example. When he came to see me a month or two ago, he followed my requests to the letter. He showed up on time, impeccably groomed, bearing the correct gift. And if there were a few beads of nervous perspiration dotting his upper lip, well, I made sure he quickly realized that he was in for a very nice time. Afterwards, the relief and gratitude that emanated from his smile made me feel like Miss Congeniality.

Don't get me wrong. If a newbie's rough, unfeeling, or just plain oafish, there are no second chances.

But when I can introduce a lovely gent to a lovely pastime, I'm happy to pluck that little cherry and stain my tongue red.

Thanks, Tabu.  Always good to see something like this.  I was a newbie quite recently, and believe me, I had sh*tloads of trouble getting an appointment.  Fortunately, I found an agency willing to accommodate me.  Apparently, the operator (the person doing the scheduling) warned the girl about me being a newbie, so when I showed up to see her, she was very tolerant about my nervous actions, even asking questions like "where do you want the donation?"  (I'm guessing most providers would have kicked me out if I asked that.)  She also offered me a bottle of water.  Needless to say, I was doing the happy dance as I walked back from the room to the elevators.

In a nutshell, being intolerant toward newbies creates a glaring Catch-22.  After all, every hobbyist starts out as a newbie.  And if providers won't see him because of that, how will he ever become experienced in the hobby?  Think of yourself looking for your first office job when fresh out of college, and seeing "experience required" on every job ad you come across.

Ive had quite a few newbies since Ive gotten back in the biz, I am always flattered that Ive been chosen to welcome them to this wonderful hobby (must be my sweet girl next door demeanor).  But regardless, I have never met a gent for the first time, who wasnt a perfect gentleman...knock wood!

I hope some newbies will run across your post, and gain a little insight!  Well written

You made some good points but let's not assume that experienced hobbyists aren't "rough, unfeeling, or just plain oafish".  I've read many reviews here from guys who are just happy to make a provider do what he wants while noting, and dismissing, her discomfort.  These guys usually stick to AMP's.

I broke my cherry at an agency, not an AMP, but my attitude has always been that if the woman isn't enjoying herself, neither will I.  Newbie or not, a lot of guys just don't give a shit.

the point of my post was NOT to complain about the jerks (of which I've met remarkably few, actually), but to correct the misconception that all inexperienced hobbyists will necessarily be idiots.

Gems and jerks come in all stripes. As a provider, I'm on high alert for signs of an abusive, demeaning personality... and because my intuition rarely steers me wrong, I've generally been treated well and fairly.

Your attitude: "if the woman isn't enjoying herself, neither will I" is the hallmark of a secure and considerate hobbyist. May your tribe increase!

This is how I am in civvie life too but it doesn't get me anywhere.  If I were better looking I could be a total prick and still get more sex than being an average looking, but considerate over.
