So what are some best practices when evaluating agencies? I found one that seems interesting, but I don't know how many reviews are enough to make it "trustworthy." The agency's reviews to back to early 2014. Others I've seen had older reviews, though they seem to come in batches with months or more with few if any reviews.
There are very few agencies in my area, and I have never used one. Don't know how many reviews this agency has, but if they started this year, chances are the agency is very new. I'd say they should have at least 10 with decent scores. Check and see how many reviews the reviewers have written, that's another sign of reliability.
A number of years ago I used several well known, well respected agencies quite regularly. There are benefits such as no extra screening when you want to visit a new provider, and having a substitute offered if the original date couldn't make it. Also these agencies dominated their markets and had the cutest girls, so I went with the flow. But then after several very high profile busts, they all disappeared. In at least one case, the cops said they would go after the clients as well as the agency staff and the girls. I can tell you for sure that I was really, really scared. Although I am relieved to say that nothing further happened, I have not used any agencies since. The point I'm trying to make is that you can be as careful as you want and make sure an agency is reliable. But they are still all big targets for LE much more so than any individual provider.
