you can also join preferred411.com.  Everybody there is verified.  Once again-I'd make sure the ladies there have reviews here.  Even though there isn't an advertising board there, shouldn't the escorts there be reviewed here, on TER?  Surely they must be.  There is nothing like TER.  It's the only and best way to make sure you are not going to get a bad match.

that you did not your research properly, if any at all.  Sorry to be so blunt, but that's what I get from reading your post.  You need to read the self help manual at th top of this page.  You got upsold from the 200 to 1500, that's bullshit.  Price for services should have been set in stone before her arrival.  You got screwed and not in a nice way.  To begin with, you are looking in the wrong place, aka BP, you should be looking here for newbie-friendly providers.  If you insist on using an agency, look for one that advertises here, and has some girls with reviews.  IMHO, you need to look for indies that are newbie-friendly.

Then read this board until you can answer exery question asked without looking.  This will get you started.
In my area, you can get an hour GFE FS (you'll find all these abbreviations in the self help section) for the 200 you paid or slightly more, depending on the girl.   There are way too many scams to get your money & not give proper service.  The best protection is a well reviewed provider...  say 6-10 reviews minimum.   The mere presence of a review does not mean it's a good one & a lot of scammers seem to get multiple reviews because the guy did not do their home work...  that is checking out the full reviews.
When you are ready to start shopping, you should get VIP...  so you can read the full reviews & get a good match.  
RESEARCH=  look at her profile, find the box "delivered as promised", look at her ads & pictures...  findthe box which says the picture was really her.  Then read the reviews & details.
Last off...  there are good providers...  and scammers...  on every ad site.  Don't shop the ad sites.  Shop here.  The links will take you to ads to look at pictures.   Shop the most recent reviews for your area, and scroll back checking location and area codes.   Then you know what you'll actually be getting.
I'm sorry you got scammed.  Many, even most of us have been...   Preventing scams is why TER exists.

I'm in FL, and have no idea what the selection is like where you are.  You can try EROS or Cityvibe, but unfortunately, there is no ad board for Utah on TER.  You might also browse profiles on DateCheck, which has a limited number of provider profiles listed.  After looking at the ad boards, San Fran seems to be the closest to you, you could post there and ask if any providers go to SLC.  You could also try searching ads and reviews in 'Other cities' which might take some time to find one near you, but that is probably your best shot on TER.

Regardless of where you find a provider, check thru the reviews here.  You can try searching reviews with her profile name from other review sites, and see if you get any hits, but since they are competitors of TER, I cannot mention their names here.  Sorry my friend, but it seems you are in kind of a provider's 'no-mans-land' out there.  Wish I could be of more help.

As far as using the yellow pages goes, same rule, search for reviews if you find one that looks promising.  Most of us that hobby will not see providers without a review somewhere, unless another provider or hobbyist we know and trust vouches for her.  The risk is just too great.

Look at Cityvibe.com or erosguide.com and then make sure the girls you see there have reviews here.  Don't see any ladies who don't have at least a handful of good reviews.

a TER member visits them and writes a review.  All escorts are not necessarily reviewed here.  There are many who are not reviewed here or anywhere else, those are the ones for hobbyists to be wary of.  Exceptions to that would be the providers who request that you not write a review, for a variety of reasons. There are other sites that post reviews, but TER is probably the biggest, with the most reviews.
