I know this is a dumb question but hey this is new to me and I want to do it right.
When I contact a provider, do I have to give them my real name and the place I work for verification purposes.
I am new so obviously I don't have references. However, I am self employed and I can easily prove to them I am not LE by referencing the company which I work for and my name is seen online.
Not sure if this is a smart thing to do. What do you think?
Search this board for "newbie" "references" "verification" and similar terms... or simply read back a few pages. Don't forget to click on the "Acronyms and newbies manual link above! You will see tons of information and opinions on the subject.
There are providers who will see you with NO information or screening and there are ones that damn near want DNA. I don't know how much you read the boards but seeing someone who doesn't screen is not a great option for your safety. That means she didn't screen the person before you, or the one she saw yesterday. LE will target a non-screener and so will bad guys so that is a dicey way to go. Also, it is less likely that a screening provider will accept a reference from a non-screening provider.
Providing your real name is definitely part of most screening processes. Many will want to have a peak at your ID at the first meeting just to be sure that you are you said you were and the person that was screened. Without references you will almost assuredly be expected to give up your employment info and being on the company website is very helpful.
Once you have GOOD references, many (but not all) girls will see you with name, city/state, phone number and reputable indie provider references.
Something to keep in mind while you are being asked what may seem like a stupid question... The main purpose of screening is to keep you BOTH safe and to ensure you are not LE or a known bad guy but we also use screening to weed out someone we might not want or to select "their" type of client out of the bunch. Providers have preferences and boundries and are not usually willing to see everyone. "No one under 30 or over 70" for example. You may be asked your age, race, weight/height or any number of questions that may seem irrelevant to you but are of import to her and having a great session is very dependent on whether she WANTS to see you. I'm not saying you should just go ahead and answer every question for every girl, but keep in mind that we are in the business of pleasing so being with folks we want to please is a great thing for both.
