I have some old VHS tapes of sessions that I'm interested in converting to DVD. Any suggestions as to where this can be done?

You can do it yourself. Amazon sells programs and devices that will do it. Search for convert from VHS to digital.  

 
Check the web site ionaudio.com. They have products that will do the conversion.  Be sure to read the specs and check system requirements. Some of these are written for Windows 7 and Vista. It takes a bit of doing if you're now on Windows 10. Some don't require computer hook up.  

 
You'll find these items aren't very expensive.
