I've been interested in getting more into the business, I started out in it accidentally, but found that many aspects of it appeal to me. I would like to do more, but my, um, pimp I suppose is the only way to describe him, really takes advantage. Any tips on becoming an independant agent would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure the boards are rife with them, but I was lurking for quite awhile and didn't come up with much. I did manage to discern that being in Vegas is a great starting point. Any help is greatly appreciated!

to start, try a well regarded agency in your area. There are 2 well regarded agencies in Vegas.
Learn the business while working at an agency, then go indie.

There are several free templates out there that you can use, but a website is essential.  You can post an ad on here, once every 7 days, but it must have a link either to your persona site, your TER reviews, or your ad on an escort mall.  If your 'pimp' is not an SO, I suggest you ditch him.  If he is an SO, that might be a bit difficult.  Once you start advertising, what do you need him for anyway?  You're doing the work, so you should get the $.

Read the self help manual, link at top of this page, for tips on how to do stuff on here.  Feel free to PM me if you have questions that you're not sure if the answer is there.  Look around your area at what other girls are charging to get an idea of the rates you should charge for your services.  Don't overprice yourself, but at the same time, don't start out too low either.

for a highly rated agency. Providers can work until they either go independent, or meet their financial goals and leave the business. Get a VIP account so that you can private mail members that are willing to give you advice by private mail.

Pimps are parasites...you would be best off getting away from "it" by any means, even if that means relocating, and establishing a new identity.  Just make sure the parasite does not have access to your personal ID, and that things such as drivers licenses, SSN's, and other personal information or documents aren't in their hands.

Some agencies bring in indy girls on a tour for their agency.  It get much tougher when the girl wants to go indy in the same city...  agency assumes girl has been handing out her person phone to clients while working for them...  cutting the agency out after they attracted the client.
However there are some agencies who are ok with girls going indy.  If possible, find such an agency in your area.
