Doubt it was an oversight.

I noticed that a top ten provider was removed from the list. I contacted her and was informed that it was because she had not received a review in the past 3 months. I then looked at the profiles of the current top 10 and noticed that the number 1 provider also has not received a review since October and yet she is still listed. Is that an oversight by TER or is the rule of no reviews for 3 months and removal from the list just not enforced unless someone brings it up? Also, who is in charge of monitoring this and shouldn't that policy be done away with? Just an observation and am curious to hear why that 3 month policy is in place. Thx

I was taken off the Carolinas Top 100 for a short time until my next review posted. Personally I think 3 months is too short of a time frame for TER to remove a lady from the list. 6 months would be better, IMO!

...Not that long ago it was a year. I think the six month time frame is good.

I don't know how it's monitored. Seems to me it would be a soft ware function not something admin would have to watch.

You are correct there are providers without a review in the last 3 months whose names are still showing in the Top 100.

Reviewers can submit reviews up to 3 months after a session. A lady has to have a review within the last three months to stay on the Top100. My guess is that the three month rule for Top 100 is from when the review was submitted and approved. and not when the session took place. For example, the lady in question who has a review showing October, may have just received that review in November, December or even January. So the session may have been 4 months ago, but the review may easily be within the past three months.

I doubt it was an oversight, and seriously doubt it is done only when reported. My guess is a software program does it automatically.

As to why the 3 month rule is in place, it is to keep the list current. When the Top100 first came out there were inactive and retired ladies on the list. Then they activated a 6 month rule a couple years ago. About 6 months ago they changed it to a 3 month rule.

Another reason was to cut down on providers manipulating the system. Some providers would amass their 20 great reviews, get into the Top lists, then ask people not to review them anymore, for fear of their average score coming down. The current review requirement makes that a little harder. (not that some providers haven't figured out how to get around that.)

Personally I feel that the Top lists should be eliminated as I think that is one of the biggest reasons for review manipulation.

See my reply to the OP below. I also explain the 3 month rule. It used to be 6 months.

a provider must have a review in the last 3 months to be in the top 100 list, if her scores qualify.  They did not say where it says that on the readable site.

...about it on the boards (the one I saw) was by a provider who asked admin why she was no longer on the list.

A lot of TER rules are not written anywhere. That doesn't mean the rules don't exist.

Well my question was for San Diego. The number 3 ranked provider was removed from the list cuz her last review was from October, and yet the number 1 provider also has October as her last review, but she is still listed.  I was just curious as to why one was removed from the list and the other wasn't when both had October as their last review date? That's why I was questioning if it was an automated thing or not.

It's when they received the review, not the date of the session. In the case you mention, that October review was received in late November. So if you watch your list, if she doesn't get another new review, I bet she gets removed from the list in late February.
