Keep posting on your regional board and post your weekly ads. Eventually, they will come to you, esp if you provide quality service for a reasonable rate.
Swimposting on my local board, but no one seems to really post on it. One of the suggestions given to me being a Newbie was to post on my local board, so I tried a couple of times starting a discussion on the board. First time, I thought they were going to chop my head off. Second time nobody responded. Just read the damn post.
I know and can understand members not wanting to see new providers, but damn are they afraid to chat with them as well?
WTH!
just keep being persistent..some boards are worse than others..i had my ass handed to me on the Florida board when i started..most boards are cliques..it will take awhile for them to get to know you..you have to get your foot in the door before you can open it..
Regional boards each have their own personality. Some are really friendly and open some are just mini versions of the GD board. Sometimes it takes a while to get the feel, and also to get accepted, if it is a close knit group who mainly post, especially if it is a small market. Sometimes as an "unknown" or new poster, people don't yet know how to take you, so they just read and wait. Also, in spite of best efforts on your part, others might not find the topic compelling. If you build a presence by participating in other's threads, they begin to get more familiar with your name and your perspective, and may be more likely to respond to posts you initiate. It takes a little while, so just stay with it. The boards are mostly filled with lurkers, so you will often get many, many more reads than responses.
I found it better to respond to threads rather than start my own. My local board is DEAD and not very welcoming (to anyone). Some local boards are like that. So I don't bother much with my local board. Last thing I posted got zero responses. My area guys just want to hook up and are not into conversing.
You are in an area where you could post on a few "local" boards, as some cities are close by where you are. I just checked the past few threads you started and everything seemed fine. Were getting some responses. Sometimes people just don't have anything to say to the thread.
Just look at it this way, some people are not welcomed on the GD board, P&R, etc... until they get use to you and feel you out, regardless of how many reviews you have. So the same applies to the local boards.
When I posted on the Nashville board, they welcomed me with open arms. So YMMV
I really love kicking mice around who think it's cool to fk with the new girl lol. Wait, are you talking about a separate board other than TER, or the Regional Board here? That's what we meant by "local board" lol. The Regional Board on TER, not some lame ass wanna be site.

I'm on to post on boards. I love you guys and not going anywhere. I just got to get my local board popping.

chat sometimes. There is a board for advertisement and a board just to start a conversation up and get to know people. My board is dead! Damn, I would like for my local to meet, have drinks and get to know one another. No damn body want to talk on my local board.
So do I have to be the shit starter. LOL!
Guess I will.
if you have to be the 'shit starter' on your board, do it. Try to ask some interesting questions or funny stuff, and see what happens. If you want to meet someone for a drink, send out some PM's and see who replies. If you are doing the inviting and guys accept your invite, I don't think it would be fair to expect them to pay for your time. Is that ok with you?

I see you are active and people do some postings. I also see you "guys" do a "picture" thread which also helps get attention. You just need to keep at it. Like Cayden said also do DC board and you can check out the General board here as well.
Congrats on you latest reviews; you are doing great. Good luck.
Nicely let your personality shine through. Now, as a Newbie, your posts don't display right away... all newbies are "Moderated" which means your posts must be approved before they display. After a month or so with a posting history & no problems, you can request to be unmoderated. It is worth it to post just to get unmoderated.
Be careful your posts don't get mistaken for your one ad per 7 days... and get moved to the ad board.
Newbies are often well advised to avoid New Providers until the Newbies have some experience... but more experienced members do TOFTT. And once you start getting reviews, you're proven track record of good experiences makes Newer Providers more acceptable for Novices. (Not to say some Newbies don't ignore this but it often ends badly.)
I HAVE seen providers with few or no reviews... and the best experiences were gals I had noticed their posts though we really didn't 'chat' per say.

Integrating yourself is not the same as walking into a room and screaming. When you do that everyone just looks around and says "who in the hell is that?". When you mingle and do so casually you will make more friends.
