someone had just emailed me to let me know that someone had recently posted a nasty review.. upon reading it, it was totally not true. (i honestly have no idea what this person is referring to, ive had nothing but positive feedback from everyone ive ever seen after an appointment)
is there any way to have slanderous and/or fictitious reviews reported and removed?
After that, whatever TER's decision is, you should not appeal it any further lest you tempt them to pull down your profile, and perhaps ban you. (This has happened to a couple of gals I've known.)
If you can point out something so glaringly off kilter as to question the reviewer's honesty, then you might get it removed.
Keep in mind that TER exists for the benefit of the hobbyists, and in the case of doubt, the benefit goes to the reviewer.
I thought they tried to sort it out by asking the reviewer for proof that he saw the provider. Date, time, location, etc., then comparing the answers. If it regards events that happened during a real date, that you disagree with, it becomes he said-she said, and there's not much TER can do.
Take your time and spell it out clearly and calmly, like mrfisher said.
Problem reports are meant for simple updates to profiles. Not for complex things. She should use "contact us" or email. Everything else in your post is correct.
...their pay grade, you'll receive an answer regarding the status of your problem report in "My Problem Reports" that says: "For this problem report please contact TER Customer Support."
I always assumed it was different people reading the problem reports than the "feedback." Probably like you say, different paygrades. lol
But in TER's defense they do specifically say right on the problem report submission form:
The Problem Report system is designed for quick, easy updates to profiles. For more complex issues, especially those that might require correspondence back from our Support team, please submit a Feedback. You can submit a Feedback by clicking on the Contact Us link near the top of most TER pages. Examples of when to submit a Problem Report: website not loading or incorrect, incorrect phone number, a change in the provider's appearance or services offered, a review posted to the wrong profile, a provider has two profiles that need to be combined, a review is posted with a score that exceeds the provider's score maximum. Examples of when to send in a Feedback: reporting a fake or fraudulent review, requesting an entire profile removed from TER, questions about VIP access, questions about why your review has not posted, any inquiry that requires a response.
Of course you know this BP, but even though I am replying to your post, I am posting this for the benefit of others.
The biggest thing is, you have to be able to prove in some way that the review is bogus to get it removed. So before you contact admin, have all your ducks in a row.
they are not just going to always take our word for it. Too many women want every bad review removed, and if the guy saved copies of any exchange with you that proves he saw you, nothing you can do. I actually think that part of it sucks, because just because we might have seen a person does NOT mean he is not a lying sack of shit who is helping out his atf by giving low marks to the competition.
