I understand your concern, especially since the goto noob advice is "see a well reviewed provider"...but that obviously means she's had that many more clients before you. It all comes down to risk management, if what you say is true about your concern for your family then you need to do everything covered. Everything. And get tested regularly. Your health is YOUR responsibility, don't just expect the provider to always be the cautious one. I've had an experience where a provider "could tell I didn't like the condom" and was about to mount me for BBFS and thank GOD my alarm bells went off (can be tricky if you trully get caught up in th moment right?) and I said no thanks I don't do that. I don't have a SO or family to worry about bringing something home, I just don't believe an hour of fun is worth the rest of my life. Also be sure to read up on STDs, especially what the symptoms look like. I mean a good provider inspects you right? So you should inspect her too. Also bbbjs and DATY don't have the same risk levels for certain stds that BBFS has, but NO UNPROTECTED ACT is 100% safe from STDs.
FYI, if you plan on seeing a porn star turned provider, there was an article that came out a while back interviewing some big names and one stated basically that they ALL have herpes, it's just a hazard of the trade...
Don't be a fool, wrap your tool.
I have been doing a lot of reading on this website since I am a newbie and haven't met anyone yet. I have a family at home and my biggest fear is bringing something back with me.
I have read a lot of reviews with BBBJ and guys giving the girl oral, as I enjoy these acts how scared should I be of performing these?
Is it rude to assume that the majority of girls have an STD?
If I stick to providers with higher donations can I assume the risk is lower?
Should I ask the provider?

That is based on my own experience whereby I got 3 STDs from around 12 civies I once dated compared to zero STDs from over 200 escorts I have been with.
You have to like those odds.
Escorts can't afford to get an STD, or they can't work. Stick to the well reviewed providers, and take all due precautions and you should be fine.
Just remember, nothing is ever 100% safe.
Would you expect that if they did, we'd know about it here? Would that sort of information show up in a review? If not, how would we know?

You should always assume that the person in front of you is a bigger germ farm than that monkey in "Outbreak" and protect yourself accordingly. FYI, most providers use condoms for sex each and every time, and the risk of oral transmission is very low. NOT impossible mind you, but not nearly as high as having unprotected vaginal sex, much less anal sex. You "getting" a blowjob has the lowest risk on you, but you "GIVING" daty, increases that risk.
I'm fairly new here as well and from the research I've done, BBBJ is high risk for transmission of STD's. I also discussed with my doctor and she stated that oral sex is considered by most physicians to be high risk for contracting STD's. She even had some experience with a couple of her patients in the past who had a STD where she believed the STD was transmitted through oral. So I don't agree that it is very low risk, especially when guys are meeting with many different providers throughout the year, who in turn are meeting with upwards of 30, 40, 50 and up different clients every week. That is a ton of opportunity for STD transmission. I agree that everything should be done covered.
I'm pretty amazed by the carefree/cavalier/high risk attitude toward BBBJ by many of the reviewers. I would be surprised if many of the guys are getting tested. Seems to be an attitude of just ignore the risk and hope I don't catch anything.
Also, I don't see any sense in saying that if a provider has a lot of positive reviews or has a higher rate, then they should be safe. I would think it could potentially be the opposite...if the provider has a high volume of reviews then they may have more exposure and opportunity to contract a STD.

Reading many of the reviews here makes me think these people are either living in la la land OR they've already contracted STDs and just don't care anymore...
1. Everything has risk. Even covered FS has a risk, though minimal. Read up on the CDC website as to what these risks are. Here is one link with regard to HIV and oral sex:
http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/factsheets/oralsex.htm
2. Do not assume every girl has an STD, but you should exercise safe sex. What your own threshold is...well, that's up to you.
3. There is no statistically significant correlation between higher-priced providers and being disease-free. A high-end escort could have an IV-drug problem, and she would be higher risk than a low-end escort who never does a blowjob without a condom.
4. Never ask the provider. You will get hung up on.
