Would LE track you down if your number was saved?

Remember your Fifth Amendment rights and just tell the officer that you have nothing to say about it.

Don't fall for any phony deals whereby he'll say: "If you would just confirm if this call was from so-and-so we'll let you walk otherwise we'll have to arrest you....etc."

They are not going to arrest you because your number was found on a phone.  No court would take a case based on that.  Believe me, if they had evidence to arrest you with, you'd already by down at the station.

Cops lie like rugs, and if you show them that you have some savy they'll stop wasting their time on you and go on to better things to do.

trying to lure you into incriminating yourself. If you sent a text message to her phone soliciting sex for money, it could get more serious.

Of course, none of this should be of the slightest concern to you unless you use your regular phone or any phone traceable to you. If you do, you should search this board for "hobby phone" to learn how you can leave those worries behind by spending $30.

I'm sure not going to call them back!   The only time it's on is when I'm on a date.   It's not otherwise linked to me.

I delete call registers after the date. Nothing is fail safe, I guess that if a person was a client of a provider that was under federal investigation, one would likely need to worry. Otherwise, juristictional issues would make nailing you more difficult than getting you would be worth to the LE agency that wants you, but there are exceptions, like if your phone number is found on a phone that was at a major crime scene.

If you have a hobby phone, why would you EVER pick up a call (even if you kept the darn thing on) that you weren't expecting and/or from a number you don't know?

and before I turn the phone off & get on the highway home.
If SO or someone finds the phone why make it easy for them?   It does mean I have to get internet access to bring up her contact information when booking.  I think it is worth the trouble.

Better to be suspected a liar or a fool than to prove it & remove all doubt.
