I am considering accepting credit cards for my donations. Mainly because I travel often and I've had gentlemen offer to use theirs. Any tips or advice on how to go about this? Pro's/Con's?

Many ladies accept credit cards. It's not illegal to be an escort and you can choose any name for your business. Mine is ff.edu. The ff stands for Freya Fantasia-but nobody will know that! I think accepting cc is a smart business move and many ladies have done it for a long time without any troubles.
Freya...you might want to take a trip over to the legal board where this has been discussed more than once.
And then you may reconsider your posting on the issue!
And as far as credit card acceptance...I have yet to see a gal (in Chicago) accept credit cards, or even suggest that they may accept them. This is NOT a common practice amongst the gals that I have seen, or considered seeing.
But for those that do offer them, they have created, perhaps unwittingly, a trail that governmental agencies simply love. Easy to follow and find the sources and destinations. And if you think that setting up a "shell" corporation is the way to insulate you...well, I have successfully pierced Corporate veils in audit work for quite a few years. And I doubt that you will prove to be that exception to the rule. Be very careful with this endeavor.
There is a definite reason why CASH IS KING in this "hobby".
Leaving a paper trail with a stranger could lead to meeting LE.
Beyond that there is the problem with married men and their wives finding out from the CC statement.
Other than that, I'd love to use a CC. Hell, who doesn't mind the travel and gift points you'd get, and I have to love of stopping by ATM machines all the time.
Well now you are assuming that my accepting credit cards will be the only form of donation I accept. Apparently married men have to do what is best for them such as donate in cash. But I see plenty of single professionals who find cc more convenient. So, if that works for them...why not?
I know of ladies who accept cc for deposits that way men will consider seriously if they want to bail on an appointment.
