Seems like the "not the person in the pictures" situation occurs somewhat frequently, but I have not read a review where the client just walks away.  Besides going ahead with a different provider than you expected, what other options do you have?

This may vary by location and the local protocol.  I've made appointments to see a specific person at a shared in-call at a specific time. If when I show up she's busy and they try to match me with someone else, I can walk and have done so.  (In NYC, there are many options, so Plan B isn't too hard to find on short notice.) I have shown up at a private in-call and the pictures in the ad were so old that the person at the door could have been her mother (the TER review said real and accurate). Everything remained polite and she was disappointed but understanding. I have never had an emotional scene develop or an angry "boyfriend" (pimp) chase me down.

Too many guys think with the little head and stay anyway. There are tons of reviews where they showed up and the girl wasn't the girl in the pics, but they stayed, and usually ended up very dissapointed. Staying just rewards the girls who use b&S tactics.

On the other hand, there are guys who will leave but you don't see many of those reviews because there is nothing to review. Although you can write a b&s review, I think most guys don't.

You have EVERY right to walk away!  Anything that you are expecting to spend money on its its not the product you expected or saw then WHY waste your MONEY!???  Always better safe than sorry sweetie.

Sincerely..

If she has your personal info, it is frequently a bad option to walk away to save a few hundred bucks.  Do you want a phone call to your place of employment or home?

If she is coming to your place, do you want the drama of her knowing where you live?  Same thing with a hotel.  The hotel has a paper trail of who you are.  Bad idea to do this over a few hundred bucks.

It's like a bad stock pick.  Live and learn.  Don't afford to risk money here you cannot afford to lose!

I would only walk if the girl had no info, and if I was seeing her at her place.  Oh, and if my number was untraceable to me.

and only see well-reviewed ladies, the chances of this happening are not that great.

If you use BP or another bottom feeder escort mall, then you get what you pay for, or less. Shop where you want but if there are no reviews or maybe just 1 review from a guy with 1 review, pass and go to the next lady on your list.

One more downside of walking away is that you can't really write a review because there is no session to review.  TER review rules say, "Each review must recount a visit that took place within the last three months".  While the rules do not say specifically say no visit, no review, admin will most likely not approve a review where no session actually took place.  In that case, your best would be to alert guys on your regional board.  In doing that, you might want to tell the story without mentioning her name, and tell the guys to PM you for details.

You can not do a review of a no show, because no meeting took place. But you can do a review of a bait and switch if you walked away, because a meeting did take place. Many people are confused about this and probably think they can't do a review, but they can.

There are definitely bait and switch reviews in the database, and there are discussions on this board and the general board. I am too busy to search for them right now, or I would post some links.

....if a lady does not represent herself accurately, that is not your problem.

I believe in full disclosure, if there might be an inaccuracy.  I recently had my stylist, get a bit happy with his scissors, and I told new friends, up front, that my hair is a couple of inches shorter, than in my photos.  Not one gentleman changed his mind, but false advertising, is just wrong.

Here is an example of a b&s review.
No session tookl place, but a "meeting" took place.

The link in that review goes to an Orlando Backpage ad. The ad no longer has a picture; the image just says "Gorgeous". But the ad text is great:

"Hi! I'm Bailee I cater to Those with an imagination in the satisfaction department"

That's for sure! Since there was nothing even close to REAL satisfaction, all that's left is IMAGINARY satisfaction! Truth in advertising! No more bait and switch!

Hi,

picture was not the actual girl but a close likeness!! So i asked the board if the girl wasn't the one in the picture who would make an appt; w/her?? I was told by an established reviewer that the girl may have been busted, or was stalked & for her protection she had to go that route!! So, @ least one agency was using truth in advertising!!

I was trying to find out about that type of situation but couldn't find anything in the rules that really covered it.

Some of them are written but a lot of the rules are unwritten. Some that are written, are hard to find. I only found out about that review rule a few months back through a post on the gd board, by a member who says he actually asked admin, and they told him it was allowed. After that I did notice some bait and switch reviews in the database. There are definitely a bunch of those reviews if you search, but who wants to search for b&s reviews? I think most of us miss them because when we search reviews we are looking at the 7/7, 8/8, 9/9, 10/10s! Who looks at the 2/2s unless they are looking for entertainment reading? :)

I've had the bait & switch thing happen to me on a few occasions... Only once I walked away (I pretended like I had no money and needed to go to an ATM...I never came back of course). But one time a B&S happened to me and the chick in real life was actually MUCH MUCH hotter than the girl in the pics. You never know.

Some of the best chicks are on BP... Everybody doesn't want some USED UP chick who's been with hundreds of dudes & has reviews on her. Think about it, 1 out of every 25 guys probably makes the effort to write a review on the escort. That means for every review a chick has, there are 25+ guys behind that guy. I'd rather look through BP and find some fresh chick who only escorts every now and then when she needs some extra money.
