depends on how well reviewed she is

I wrote a review of a lady and she got upset with me because I didn't ask her permission beforehand (on another board, not TER). I apologized, but I didn't realize I was supposed to ask permission, is it normal to do so? It wasn't even a bad review, it was a good one! I said I had a good time with her and I'd like to see her again.

However, there are some ladies who specifically do not want to be reviewed.  This information is normally found on their websites.  Or the lady may specifically state she prefers not to be reviewed.

Unless she specifically (in writing or in person) asks you not to write one, you should not feel badly.

If a provider doesn't want any reviews on TER, she can contact admin and no reviews of her will be posted. Some providers don't want to give LE any more ammunition than they have to. Fair enough, but they can't benefit from this site either, so they're delisted. Other review sites probably don't have the same policy. If you like her, try to do whatever you can to get that review deleted. If you encounter a clunker, go ahead and post a negative review on any site. You've got nothing to lose in that case. The only time it makes sense to ask for permission is if you're writing a positive review outside of TER.

do not want a lot of reviews so they sometimes ask a hobbyist to not write a review.  This has happened to me once in 8+ years.  I also saw a lady about 5 years ago who didn't want a review on TER (other sites OK) because TER reviews are more explicit.

If she has no prior reviews, its a courtesy to ask her, in my opinion.  If she's well reviewed, then I don't think asking is necessary.  Also, you need to be sensitive to what you indicate - if you are a regular you  may get BBBJ for example, but if others reviews and the profile say she does not offer that, you should not put her in the position of having other guys expect it

I did not start out doing this, but it seems a courtesy that costs me nothing. Actually, I have a whole bunch of rules about reviewing - don't say anything I would not say to her face, ask if she wants to know what I am going to say (no one has ever said yes to this), keep it a little romantic, and stick to the facts.

None of these rules would apply if I got scammed or threatened, of course. But if a lady is what she was represented to be and makes an effort to please me, I figure she did a good job whether or not we hit it off.

Only one time have I been asked not to write a review, and she was pretty honest as to why. She had just had a very undeserved, negative review and was feeling a little vulnerable I guess, and we did not click, which happens. No review was fine with me. Otherwise the answer has pretty much been "okay" and nothing more.
