Verification problem retired and no references. Would go through agency like Date-Check but they all seem to do it for only those who have jobs. Does anyone no of any verification agency that handles retirees that providers would except?

I have no references but am willing to provide what ever I can. I retired early (plant closed) at age 54 now 57. I still have my laminated ID badge from where I worked. Location outside of Phila. (Pottstown, Pa.)
Most providers are willing to meet you for a dinner only date (lunch, coffee, etc.). Some will do it at a substantially reduced rate, or even free. Since this is 100% legal, there is little risk to the lady.
Once she is comfortable with you, you can book a more intimate date, and Viola! Your first reference.
FYI: Make sure she is a reliable provider. You don't want to go through all the work and end up with a lady who doesn't give references.
Second option:
Have any good friends who are not yet retired (especially if they own a business)? Someone you wouldn't be embarrassed telling that you want to hobby? I'm sure they wouldn't mind letting you be an employee for the day.
Similarly, if you volunteer work somewhere, ... I've received personal calls there.
