The only negative that comes to mind is that some are not well known in certain places.  It doesn't hurt, but it may not be real helpful if you find one in your area and are going somewhere else to play.

I've heard from the ladies that in Chicago, Datecheck is a must, but where I play, Phoenix, it isn't important.

My suggestion is to ask your regional board what the normal referral process requires.  I pay enough to hobby, I'll don't want to pay for a service that isn't needed.

It definately depends on what city, region, and even  varies from gal to gal.

Date-check doesn’t cost anything to the hobbyist if he has a provider offer him a trial… (* then, he can keep it active by having the providers that he is seeing enrolled or by acknowledging recommendations for him*)……  if he is in a City that uses date-check it is a great idea.

You might have been thinking of RS2K, which does have a fee for gentlemen to belong.   Kisses ~T
