For those of you who use a computer that someone else may have access to, how do you ensure someone else does not find out about the sites (such as TER) that you visit? And is there any way I can make my hobby bookmarks accessible only to me?  Currently use Windows 7.  I know you can clear the history, etc. But it seems like you can never be sure to erase everything on your computer.  I have a hobby phone, but only has calling and text, so cannot surf the web. I prefer laptops or tablets to smartphones - do you folks have a hobby laptop or tablet?

so I bought her her own new laptop.  I then upgraded my computer to one she doesn't like.   I do not save bookmarks to adult sites.  You can learn the addresses.  Mine is set to delete browsing history on shut down & I never turn over a running computer...  and never access when anyone else is home.  And I run CC Cleaner often.
I've heard of guys running another browser on a thumb drive.

It opens a new window that doesn't save history, cookies, etc.
Probably the best course of action.

Not sure if you can save bookmarks without them being found out in some way.
Probably best to have a separate email account and email the links to yourself, or something along those lines.

Keep in mind that whether you use Private Browsing mode in Firefox or Incognito mode in Chrome, it doesn't protect you from computer monitoring programs that can be installed by your SO.

It's been a while since I had to worry about someone else being on my computer but what I found when I was married was that the more secure I tried to make my bookmarks, files etc the more suspicious my now ex-wife got that I was trying to hide something from her.  Ultimately I got a lap top for work and, just to keep her the fuck away from my machine, I go her one as well.

Sounds pricy but it works...
