Try to find a really cheapass motel. A lot of them don't require you check in with any ID. A lot of Indian people own these types motels and would let you in as long as you pay for your stay up front with cash. When I was an undergrad, I used to work at front desk of such motels.
But one problem is that lot of girls will not do outcalls at such places, as they are really cheap and also they have very little privacy as the entrance is outward facing. LE can keep an eye on a particular suspect from the parking lot.

Protect your identity from whom? Any hotel worth staying at is going to require ID. So it's not an anonymous transaction.
The lady will be none the wiser regarding your name. Hotel staffs are trained not to divulge information to strangers. So you can be confident that she's not getting your name from the desk staff. Of course the only way to be 100% sure is to not do it at all.
Thanks for the ideas. Boston Hilton's have dayrates (~ 120) from 11 to 6pm. The Id would look suspicious -- I live in MA, so that'd be a red flag -- Also hotels ask for a credit card for extra charges. BP/Motels are high risk.
When a local guy checks in the hotel, do you think that the staff doesn't realize what is going on? I have checked in hotels various times. I have VA license and checking in hotel a few blocks from my house does raise flag. But I have never been questioned. The hotel staff is used to this and will leave you alone as long as you are not a troublemaker.
Ok thanks I got it. So I can reserve with my AMEX online (hotwire/hotels.com) and at checkout will pay with a prepaid VISA. I live in Metrowest and will go to Boston Hotels. Will bring a messenger laptop bag and will dress up a bit - I'll add a necktie to my bussiness casual attire - the only chain in Boston that i know accepts dayrates is Hilton. Any other decent hotels that you know having day rates or at least decent rates?
